Mobile Phones with Free Laptops
Over the last few years cell phone costs have fallen, whilst the price of monthly contracts offered by the networks has remained largely unaltered (although you now get more free inclusive minutes and messages). This means that the value of a cell phone is comparatively less than it was when compared against the overall value of a phone contract. In the past mobile phone retailers would give away free mobile handsets by way of an incentive for customers to take out a contract. In the past some retailers would even charge for the mobile handset on top of the price of the contract. Cell phones were, at that time very expensive, and often being considered a premium product or status symbol. These days with increasingly widespread use and resulting economies of scale even the top cell phones are reasonably priced.
