The GPS unit sitting on your dashboard owes its existence to the need for the United States military to be able to navigate the surface of the Earth with ease. In the 1970′s and 1980′s, the United States launched satellites into the Earth’s atmosphere into geo-synchronous orbit. These satellites made it possible for the military to maneuver on land and sea with ease.
Every day, the news is full of stories of children who go missing. Milk cartons show faces of missing children and parents routinely are shown on television worried about their missing child. There is no thought more horrifying to a parent than when their child has gone missing. Fortunately for parents, GPS is now available to help them keep track of their children.
Since Man first fashioned tools to help him hunt, he has always tried to improve the technology that assists him in living on this sometimes unforgiving planet. Over the centuries these tools have developed and become more efficient and effective and progressively have become more and more high tech. GPS, or Global Positioning System, is one of these advances in technology.
Every night, somewhere in the world, there is a story about a child that has gone missing or is feared to have been abducted. Parents go home and look at their beds and wonder where they could be. Their thoughts run wild through their minds wondering where their child is and what could be happening to them. They then will have to wait for leads and other tips to help the police find their child. Fortunately, if you use GPS tracking for children, you most likely won’t have to deal with the problem of missing children.
As night falls in your city or town and you are settling down with your spouse after a long days work, one thought will cross your mind. Do I know where my teenager is? If you are using GPS for children, you will easily know the answer for that question.
