Start a study-program in which you’ll receive a selection of CD and DVD based materials – you’ll be learning from instructor videos and demo’s, and then have the opportunity to use virtual lab’s to practice your new skills.

Every company that you look at should willingly take you through a few examples of their courseware. Make sure you encounter videos of instructor-led classes and a variety of interactive modules.

Some companies only have access to purely on-line training; and while this is acceptable much of the time, think what will happen when you don’t have access to the internet or you get intermittent problems and speed issues. It’s much safer to rely on CD and DVD ROM materials that don’t suffer from these broadband issues.
